Cookie Policy
Updated 14 September 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. dirkit.dev uses as few as possible, and none for advertising.
Technical storage (no consent needed)
- dirkit-consent (localStorage): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner doesn't come back. Kept until you clear your browser data.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets its cookies to tell visits apart and measure which pages are viewed. No analytics code is loaded before you accept.
- _ga: distinguishes visitors. 2 years.
- ga*: keeps the session state. 2 years.
Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. Details in Google's privacy policy and in their page on how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Third parties
- The newsletter form posts to this site's own server, which hands your address to Brevo; it uses no cookies, and spam is filtered with an invisible field and a rate limit, not with a captcha.
- No other content is embedded from other sites. The links to the directories built with DirKit open their own sites, each with its own cookie policy.
Changing your choice
Click the small yellow dot in the bottom-right corner to reopen the banner, see your current choice and change it. Closing the banner with the X counts as declining. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings at any time.
For everything else, see the Privacy Policy.
